Counter Top Concrete Stripping, Honing, Cleaning, and Re-sealing San Francisco, Bay Area
This hip San Francisco loft was in great condition, except for the concrete counter tops. The counters were badly stained from ten years of wear and tear. Stone Improvement was hired to refinish the counters before the sale of the loft. The concrete stripping process was a multiple day service which started with stripping the previous sealants from the counters. A soy based, VOC free stripper was used for the concrete stripping step. We then honed the counters with diamond embedded pads and cleaned the areas with our hard surface extractor. A poultice based stain remover was used to leech the remaining stains from the concrete. Creto Top Seal was applied to seal the counters as the final step. This sealant is also VOC free and non-toxic, ensuring the safety of the next tenants while using the counters. Please view our video that shows each step of the process.
