Concrete Cleaning and Sealant Application Woodside, Bay Area
This home is nestled in the redwood forest of Woodside in San Mateo County. It was rebuilt, freshly remodeled and was now almost ready for the owners to move in. One of the last steps was to get all of the concrete in the home cleaned and properly sealed. This home had a huge workshop, bathroom, laundry room, garage, deck and shower stall floors all with natural concrete. The first step in the concrete cleaning process was to scrub the areas with a floor machine equipped with scrubber pads. This removed any plaster and other construction contaminants on the floors. We then went over the areas with our hard surface extractor. The aggressive 1,100psi water pressure makes this machine the best for interior concrete cleaning. After allowing the areas to dry overnight, we then apply our deep penetrating sealant to the concrete. This sealant permanently waterproofs the substrate and pushes any residual moisture out of the concrete. This allows us to come back the next day to apply our non-breathable topical sealant. This client wanted a natural look to their concrete so we used a topical sealant that is hydrophobic and stain resistant but doesn’t affect the look of the concrete. The concrete cleaning and sealant application was a great finishing touch on this beautifully remodeled home.
