Marble Kitchen Counter Top Polishing and Sealing San Francisco, Bay Area
This home in the happening North Beach District of San Francisco has Italian white marble counter tops throughout the kitchen. A guest had accidentally stained and etched the marble, leaving a dull yellow stain on the counter the size of a hand bag. Stone Improvement was hired for the marble counter top polishing and sealing service. The service starts with masking all of the cabinetry, floors, walls and other areas in the kitchen. We then start the counter top polishing using diamond embedded pads, hand grinders and a small amount of water. Three different grit levels were used to bring the marble to the desired sheen. After the counter top polishing is completed, the masking is taken down and the marble is thoroughly dried. We then seal the counters with a solvent based penetrating sealant. This sealant will help prevent staining and etching in the future.
