Marble Tile Cleaning and Enhancing Sealant Application San Francisco, Bay Area
This recently remodeled bathroom had black marble floors, limestone tiled shower walls and concrete vanity and tub. Most of the surfaces were holding up well except for the black marble floors. The marble was getting etched and discolored from just months of use. Stone Improvement was able to revitalize the look of the stone with just a simple tile and grout cleaning and sealant application. We first lay drop cloths in any area we will be working or walking through. The tile cleaning starts with scrubbing down the natural stone and grout with our pH neutral stone cleaners and grout brushes. We then finish the tile cleaning with the extractor machine. This machine uses 1,100psi water pressure along with a dual vacuum system to thoroughly clean the natural stone. After the tile cleaning is complete, the areas are completely dried before the sealer is applied. An enhancing sealant was chosen for the darkening effect it had. This brought the stone back to it’s original beauty and is now protected for years to come.
