Stone Improvement was hired to clean and seal this limestone tile/grout floor in Oakland. White limestone is very difficult to keep looking bright and clean unless it is properly sealed and maintained with a ph neutral cleaner. This floor had not been properly sealed or maintained for many years so it required a hard surface extractor deep cleaning to get the tile and grout looking clean and ready to be sealed. I also used a floor machine to help scrub up the dirt in combo with the hard surface extractor. After cleaning the tile and grout, I put floor dryers on the floor to help speed up the drying process. When the floor was dry, I sealed the limestone and grout with a penetrating sealer. The sealer does not change the sheen or appearance of the tile or grout. The sealer took 24 hours to fully cure and will last 3-5 years with the proper maintenance. I left the customer with a ph neutral cleaner concentrate for the maintenance and emailed them detailed cleaning instructions.
