The Hard surface extractor cleaning is self contained which is very important when it comes to protecting the surrounding landscaping from puddles of water. The lighter colored limestone is difficult to maintain and keep looking clean in any kind of exterior setting. The only thing you can really do is make sure you seal the limestone tile/grout when it is brand new with a penetrating sealer. Once the tile/grout is sealed with a penetrating sealer you MUST never use any chemicals on the tile/grout for weekly or monthly maintenance. Only use a ph neutral cleaner for the maintenance which will give you the maximum longevity out of the sealer. If you only use a ph neutral cleaner for the maintenance you will get 3-5 years of protection from the sealer. The limestone tile/grout must be deep cleaned before re applying another penetrating sealer which is what Stone Improvement was hired to do at this house in the Bay Area.
