This was a home in Gilroy, California that had marble floors in the bathroom. Over the years the marble and grout got pretty dirty in the high foot traffic areas and around the toilet. There had been some products spilled on the floor as well which is very common in a bathroom. The spilled products etched the marble or took off the sheen where the product had spilled. The only thing that will remove etch marks is the diamond polishing process. The diamond polishing process will remove etch marks and bring back an even sheen. The diamond polishing cleans the grout joints as well. The diamond polishing is done semi wet so it creates a slurry which is wet marble dust. Because of this I masked off all of the walls and doors to protect them from the slurry. This floor ended up looking brand new when I was done and the customer was very pleased with the results. In order to keep the marble and grout looking new I sealed the floor with a penetrating sealer. the sealer does not change the sheen or appearance of the marble/grout. the sealer takes 24 hours to fully cure and will last 3-5 years with the proper maintenance. I left the customer with a ph neutral cleaner concentrate for the maintenance along with detailed instructions on how to maintain the floor.
